Continuing a long-standing tradition of collaboration across the art forms in Galway, the Galway Music Residency and the Galway Community Circus join forces for two performances on Sunday 16 June at 3pm and 7pm in St Joseph’s Community Centre, Shantalla.

The Galway Music Residency’s ConTempo Quartet and members of Youth Aerial Circus Troupe will present a fusion of music and circus art, celebrating the joy of ‘play’. Experience these art forms as you never have before. Come along and be enthralled by movement and sound and the curious interaction between the two.

This project marks the first ever collaboration between the Galway Music Residency and Galway Community Circus. Speaking of the new relationship, General Manager of the Galway Music Residency said: “we are delighted to be working with the Galway Community Circus, an organisation within Galway city that we greatly admire. Both GCC and the Galway Music Residency are steadfastly focused on the communities that they serve so this partnership is a very natural one and we’re excited to share the results with the people of Galway.”

This is a family-friendly event, suitable for little kids and big kids alike, with a matinee and evening showing. Tickets for this event are €10/€6/€25 (family) and can be purchased at the door.

The Galway Music Residency is kindly supported by NUI Galway (Education Partner), Arts Council Ireland, and Galway City and County Councils.
