From Europe with Love: Lithuania

After over three years and 25 concerts, From Europe with Love is coming to a close. Galway Music Residency’s ambitious monthly lunchtime series exploring string quartet repertoire from all 27 EU member countries will see its penultimate and finale performances on Tuesdays 1st March and 5th April at 1:10pm in St Nicholas’ Collegiate Church.

The penultimate performance on Tuesday 1st March will celebrate the music of Lithuania. ConTempo Quartet will perform music by Onute Narbutaite, one of Lithuania’s best-known composers, and Eduardas Balsys who is not only renowned for his compositions but also for his performance as part of Lithuania’s national football team! The concert will be introduced by the honourable Marijus Gudynas, Ambassador to Lithuania in Ireland.

ENTRY TO THIS CONCERT IS FREE, ALL WELCOME. BOOKING IS RECOMMENDED HERE. Limited tickets at the door.
